It’s time for another round of Weekly Links! I find and post ‘em so you don’t have to search for them! So sit back and enjoy some light Sunday afternoon reading.
- The Five Friends All Moms Need: I won’t say that I don’t agree with this article because it does make some good points. As a Mom, you do need to get some adult interaction or you’ll go crazy. BUT sometimes as a Mom, it’s hard to keep up with everything and continue all of your friendships at full speed. But then again, I also tend to be pretty cynical. So it is a pretty good article, it just kind of made me wistful for more Momma friends!
- Celebrity Mom Quote of the Week: Melissa Joan Hart (star of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch) says parenting small boys is “a constant workout.” That’s why she’s been able to stay post-pregnancy fit, she says. “You don’t have time to eat because you’re chasing them all the time! You kind of lift them in the car seat, out of the car seat, in the highchair, out of the highchair.” The constant running I understand, the post-pregnancy fitness…not so much. haha
- The Pregnant Man is Pregnant Again: I’m not even quite sure WHAT to write about this story. Why don’t we devote some time to researching how I could transfer my growing baby over to my husband for awhile?
- Gun sales skyrocket following Obama Win: “Gun sales in Tucson and across the country are going through the roof as enthusiasts flock to buy firearms out of fear President-elect Barack Obama and a Congress controlled by Democrats will slap limits on ownership.” This honestly doesn’t surprise me. People are worried. They were up around election time too, I believe.
- Celebrating the Holidays After the Death of a Loved One: A sweet little article reminding us that even when a loved one has passed on, that doesn’t mean you have to drown in your sorrows during the holidays. It can be rough but it helps to focus on the things that make you happy or the good memories you have of your loved ones.
- Tiny One Pound Baby Amazes Doctors: The pictures of little Baby Chloe alone make this one worth checking out! The mother Michelle gave birth 23 weeks into her pregnancy (yikes) to Chloe and her twin sister Ellie – who clung to life for 30 hours before passing away. They’re hoping to have Chloe home by Christmas.
