I apologize for not posting this sooner!
My Dad and I attended the Sarah Palin rally in Noblesville, Indiana on Friday. We had a great time. We arrived early but not too early. The line was VERY long but it moved pretty fast really – and there were plenty of nice people to chat with. We got a nice spot on the grass in the General Admission area and even though, we were a long way off we could still see pretty well and hear fine. Before Sarah’s speech, country artist Aaron Tippin played some songs and we heard from several Indiana Republicans that were running for office. I have several videos I took but haven’t had a chance to upload them to YouTube yet. I was impressed with how friendly everyone was and how people just chatted naturally with one another. I had several people offer to help me with my bags when I got separated from my Dad for a bit. Sarah’s speech was very inspiring and I think everyone really enjoyed it. We got a closer look at her afterwards when she shook hands and signed autographs but there was a HUGE crowd of people around her (not to mention bodyguards) so we took pictures from a distance. We got interviewed by the Indianapolis Star newspaper afterwards but as far as I know, we weren’t in it.
Go here to see my pictures from the rally. (They’re on MySpace so you’ll have to add me to see them. Just leave me a note to let me know who you are.) Hopefully I can get them uploaded to Flickr later and you won’t have to mess witht that.
