Note: It was technically still Wednesday when I started writing this entry!
I’m sure we’re still going to hear a lot more mud flinging and name calling and campaigning over the next few weeks but the presidential debates have come to an end. I thought tonight’s debate was excellent. I thought McCain was really hard hitting and he really brought a lot of points home for me. I would say I’ve made up my mind about who I’m voting for but I still try to have an open mind when listening to the candidates.
Hubby got mine & my Dad’s tickets today for the Sarah Palin rally on Friday! Super excited about that, although it sounds like it’s going to be a very long day for us.
As a side note, I will be interested to see the developments of this story. I’m not saying it’s true but a lot of blogs seem to be buzzing about it. *shrugs* I’m not going to believe it until I see some more proof.
WordPress has a new feature that’s pretty nifty – I can create polls! So I’m going to try one out tonight. And don’t worry, the votes are anonymous.
In closing, I leave you with some quotes:
“Senator Obama, I am not President Bush. If you wanted to run against President Bush, you should have run four years ago.”- Senator John McCain at tonight’s debate
“Throwing money at the problem is not the answer.” – Senator John McCain at tonight’s debate
“Hey, Joe, you’re rich, congratulations, because what Joe wanted to do was buy the business that he’s been working for 10-12 hours a day, seven days a week, and you said that you wanted to spread the wealth, but in other words, take Joe’s money and then you decide what to do with it. Now, Joe, you’re rich, congratulations, and you will then fall into the category where you’ll have to pay a fine if you don’t provide health insurance that Sen. Obama mandates, not the kind that you think is best for your family, your children, your employees, but the kind that he mandates for you. That’s big government at its best.”
- Senator John McCain at tonight’s debate
“He that lives upon hope will die fasting.” – Ben Franklin
