Mission(s) Accomplished

By Shay

Sorry for the lack of updates & writing! Life’s been busy!

At 5:43 AM three years ago, Ezekiel had just entered the world! It doesn’t seem like it has been that long. He’s a really great kid and I know he’s going to be a great big brother.
His birthday party on Sunday went well. We had about twenty or so people show up. That’s how I love to see my house – filled to the brim with people, lots of food & fun, kids running in and out of the house all afternoon, people laughing & talking – it just makes me so happy. Zeke was completely overwhelmed by the presents, children and just the party in general but he had a fun time. I think we took over 200 pictures BUT I will only post a few:

Zeke's train cake!

Cheesey Zeke

Could he be any cheesier?

Opening presents

My new laptop has arrived! Yipee! It’s so sleek & shiny. I was almost too afraid to get it out of the box! haha. We’ve gotten it all set up – I’m typing on it now, actually. I want to make the recovery discs soon, but I have to get some DVDs first. Vista is interesting. I like it so far but I can see where it will take some getting used to. The loading and shutting down seems to take a bit of time but I think that’s because Vista has so much more “stuff.” The computer itself is fantastic. The graphics are great and I’m really happy with it. It has a built in webcam that works really well. The buttons are a little different than I’m used to but that’s just something else that will take a little bit to get used to. It’s going to work out great for school.

And speaking of school, it starts this Monday! Aaaugh! But it’s ok, I’m actually glad to be going back. My textbooks were shipped today, and have I got a story about them! I ended up having around $200 left of Financial Aid money soooo I only ended up paying $30 or so for all my textbooks! (And if you’re a college student, you’ll know that this is a very good deal! haha) Anyway, I was very excited about that. I think my classes are going to be interesting and I’m sure I’ll be writing more about them in the future.

Pregnancy is going alright. I’m starting to feel better….I think. Everytime I say that or tell someone that, then the next day is horrible and I can’t hold anything down. I know I have tons of time before the baby gets here but I still feel very overwhelmed and a constant need to be “doing” something. Today I have been cleaning quite a bit (the house needs it after the birthday party) and that helps somewhat. My horomones are still very off the wall and my moodswings I’m sure are fun for everyone who has to deal with me. I was filling out a MySpace survey earlier and it asked what my current gripe was. I replied “What don’t I gripe about? Seriously. I’m not very fun to be around right now.” I don’t mean to be a complainer, I just feel like a crazy person sometimes with my moods fluctuating like they do!

(I do plan on writing more & reading more of your blogs, I just have tons of things to do! But I figured I’d update and let you know what all has been going on with me!)
